It’s All About the Children

Here is the question I asked of Yeoshua (Jesus) and Mary Magdalene: I did an email reading for a woman a few months ago and she asked about her young son who challenges her quite frequently. I’ve seen this among many mothers around me and I see this with my own child. You explained this in the email reading but I’d like you to share it here so more can read about why this is happening. Will you share this with us?

Mothers and their children...

Mothers and their children...

YEOSHUA: Oh yes. We like to discuss this. This is good. There are two types of children that have been coming over the last 10-20 years in large numbers. One type is what we shall call Redeemers. The redeemers have come to accept all the negative energy around them like a sponge. Their time on earth is short because they are just absorbing large amounts of negative energy and holding it to take back with them when they die. Many of these children develop illnesses and developmental disorders because of the amount of energy they are processing. Please do not be sad for these children when they pass. They gladly took the assignment before coming down to Earth and their parents took this assignment as well although most have forgotten by the time they got here.

The child who challenges...

The child who challenges...

The second group I shall call The Challengers. They are the ones who ask questions and challenge anyone or anything. They are here to challenge the status quo which is in dire need of change, yes? Yes. So, they are here to assist with this. One way in which they are doing this is by challenging their mothers. In order for the transition to a more peaceful, loving society to be complete (it has already started), the women of our world need to step forward and become more empowered. They need to see they are equal to men but offer different unique talents and strengths. The old world role of mothering that many young women learned from their parents does not work with these new children coming in. Young women are forced to create a new role for themselves as mothers who hold firm boundaries for their children. They need to not yell at their children but hold them close and yet stay firm with the rules and consequences of their children’s actions.

It is a difficult role but in accepting this role, these women become strong and empowered and more confident in what they can offer not only to their children but also to the world. It will be a new day when more and more women are sought out for their opinions, advice, and intuition on world policies. And yet, this will come about. It starts with The Challengers. They will start with their mothers and fathers for that matter but as they grow and mature, they will question and challenge every rule, every law, every policy, and every thought humankind has ever had. That is the power of our children!

MARY MAGDALENE: Wow. I love the power of your words, Yeoshua. Yes, the children have it going on. If you need some wisdom, check with your child. They are closest to God and often offer the most sane and wise advice.

If you find you are one of these women forging a new form of parenting never seen before, I offer you some suggestions.

Moms need their rest...

Moms need their rest...

First, take care of yourself. This is the first step in setting boundaries. You cannot possibly take care of your child, your husband/partner, household, if you are not taking care of yourself. This means not just sitting down for five minutes to rest. This means getting enough sleep, eating right for what you need (not just settling for what everyone else wants), or putting off doing household tasks for a day while you do something for yourself. Go get a pedicure or a manicure or a massage. Take a nap. Yes, take a nap. There is nothing that says I am taking care of myself more than taking a nap. Drink your water. Exercise. Do the things that make you feel happy inside. Then you can take care of others.

Next, create rules around how you wish to be treated. Do you let your kids call you names? Do you let people treat you rudely? Do you always say YES? Start saying No. There is nothing wrong with saying no. I give you full permission to say no. Decide how you want to be treated. What is fair? I think you should at least be as well treated as you want your kids to be treated by a teacher or another child or the parent of another child? Write it down if you have to. Be very clear on this so you know where your boundaries are. Then slowly introduce these boundaries to those around you. They may not be used to it at first but they will either get used to how you want to be treated or move out of your life. Be prepared for this.

It's never too early or late to set boundaries...

It's never too early or late to set boundaries...

It’s OK to let people go who no longer serve your highest good. If they can’t handle you wanting a little respect, then they don’t need to be a part of your life. Set these boundaries with your kids and attach the breaking of these rules to consequences. Be consistent in dishing out these consequences otherwise your boundaries will be worthless. This is the second step on your way to empowering yourself. You are worth it. And when you undergo this journey, you will inspire ten more women to do the same. And that has huge repercussions for our entire society. If you can’t do it for yourself, think of the other ten women you won’t inspire because you didn’t do the work for yourself.

Take care of yourselves, ladies. Find men who respect and support you and love you for who you truly are. You are each a beautiful gift to this wonderful planet Earth. You can each make a difference by changing your own life first. Ask me to help and I will be there. Ask friends for help and they will be there. We all have to help each other out on this journey. It’s good to remember we are not alone. If you are having trouble raising your kids, find some help. It’s out there. For every mom like you, there are 20 more in your neighborhood struggling with the same issues. Let’s be there for each other and honor each other in our own individual journeys. Good luck, ladies.

Make a difference...

Make a difference...

This is how we will change the world, one mother at a time.

The Root Chakra and Grounding

I asked Yeoshua (Jesus) and Mary Magdalene the following question. I’ve received several emails about the blog post on the Sacral Chakra so I followed up with this: Your answer about the Sacral Chakra awhile back was extremely interesting. Today, I’d love to hear about the Root Chakra and how this effects us. What role does it play and what do we need to know about it?

YEOSHUA: Yes, again I reiterate that if you have not studied the chakras, it would be a good idea to do so. We are using the 7 chakra system but there are many to choose from. Today, we will discuss the Root Chakra. This is the chakra at the base of your spine. It is associated with the color red. This is  your connection to Mother Earth as it is the closest to the Earth. It is a very important chakra for this reason.

The Root Chakra at the base of your spine

The Root Chakra at the base of your spine

We are all connected to Mother Earth and she sustains us physically and energetically. If you cut off this chakra, you are cutting off this connection and you will not be grounded. If you have done any spiritual work whatsoever, you have heard of this concept called grounding. It means that your feet are firmly planet while your spirit may climb high into the astral planes or out of your body or to do spiritual healing or communication of any kind. If you are not grounded while you are doing any of these things, it may cause you harm, you may receive inaccurate information, or you may bring harm to whoever you are trying to heal. It is extremely important to stay grounded in your spiritual work and the Root Chakra is your means for doing this.

You are feeling ungrounded if you are dizzy, light headed, nauseous, or thirsty. Take care of the thirst first. That’s my motto. Drink lots and lots of water. You are an electrical circuit and are passing a lot of electrical energy through you when you do spiritual work. The water allows you to be a better conduit of energy and information. So drink lots and lots of water. OK. With that said, I’d like to address ways to get grounded. There are many, many ways. We will discuss this and then go back to the Root Chakra.

Eat chocolate to ground yourself...

Eat chocolate to ground yourself...

Eating food is one way to get grounded. Chocolate is especially good at grounding you quickly and easily. This has been used for thousands of years. Shamans everywhere the cocoa bean was found have used chocolate or some form of the bean to help ground them in spiritual ceremonies. The closer the chocolate it is to its natural state (meaning dark chocolate is better), the more helpful it is. If you don’t have chocolate, just eating a light snack of nuts or fruit will help.

Touching the earth or the floor or laying down upon the earth—these are all good ways to ground yourself. Hold onto a tree and feel the roots going down into the earth. Imagine roots growing out of your own feet and diving into the earth grounding you. This is a great visualization to use whenever you are not feeling grounded. Touch the dirt. Pick it up in your hand or lay on the grass. Feel the magnetic field of the earth and let it hold you in its arms. Mother Earth is here to support us and nurture us. Let her do that for you.

That is what to do when you are feeling ungrounded. Now, when you begin your spiritual work, we suggest you ground yourself in a brief ceremony before you get started. Then this ungroundedness is less likely to occur in the first place. So, when you are getting ready to dive into the spiritual realm, use the visualization of your feet buried in the lovely, soft black loamy dirt. Feel its coolness against your toes. See roots growing from the bottom of your feet and joining the roots of the tall trees growing around you. This is the beginning of your root chakra. It really starts at your feet and climbs up to the bottom of your spine. It encompasses your feet, legs, and the lowest part of your abdomen. So use this all in your visualization. See your feet and shins in the loamy soil getting connected to Mother Earth. Nice. This connection makes all of your spiritual work real and full of integrity. Please do not take this connection lightly. Do this every time you go into a meditative state for your safety and the safety of others.

Root yourself in Mother Earth...

Root yourself in Mother Earth...

If you are holding space for others doing meditative, healing, or spiritual work, visualize their feet in the soil with roots growing down and see them as very grounded in their work and connected to Mother Earth. Her energy shields and protects us so it is wise to include this energy in everything you do. I’m going to let Mary continue.

MARY MAGDALENE: Yeoshua has definitely gotten us started. I would like to continue by making a few suggestions if you feel your connection is not strong with Mother Earth and you wish to strengthen it. First, put your hands in the soil every day. If you don’t have soil in your backyard that you can pick up, find a park to go to. Pick up the soil and sift it through your fingers. If you are near a beach, you may use the sand but it is not as powerful because sand does not grow as many plants as a loamy soil would. It is not as giving and supportive as full, rich, dark soil. You understand? This is my first suggestion.

Buy some red flowers...

Buy some red flowers...

Second, buy red flowers and put them where you can see them every day. There is nothing like a vibrant red to draw your attention and remind you to connect with Mother Earth. Give thanks for our earth when you see the flowers and do a mini-visualization of your feet growing in dark, rich soil. The red flowers are a reminder to do this brief visualization. Plus, they are a product of the rich, loamy soil so it works on multiple levels.

Again, I reiterate that we are what we eat. If you want to feel more of a connection with Mother Earth and your Root Chakra, grow your own garden or buy your fruits and vegetables at the local farmer’s market. This will brinng you closer to the land around you which strengthens your bond with all things. It will connect you even closer to the earth. Not everyone likes tomatoes, but this particular vegetable encompasses the red color of the root chakra as well as connecting you to your roots. Tomatoes would be great to eat to strengthen this connection. Watermelons and anything else red grown in the soil would benefit you.

And women—this one is for you. Think about what else is red and comes from your root chakra. Hmmm. Yes, menstrual blood. Did you know that many indigenous societies have used the first menstrual blood of young girls to mix with dirt and bury it with great reverence in their fields? It helps their crops grow. This blood is life giving and when not used for creating a baby was used to create new crops. That is paying homage to our female bodies and the power that lies within. We like this. How does this relate to you? Well, when you get your period, give thanks first and then see it as a true connection to Mother Earth. It is not a curse. It is a connection. It is how we are all mothers. I will write another blog about this in particular but for today, I will leave it at this and just intrigue you into coming back.
