New Age Books and Psychic Ability

Question: I am asking Yeoshua and Mary Magdalene the following: I’ve read so many self-help, new age, and spiritual books, I could fill an entire library. And yet, I had no spiritual awakening or felt any closer to spirit from reading all of those books. It wasn’t until I sought out a psychic teacher that I really opened up. Why didn’t anyone tell me that basically you have to open up to your intuition and psychic abilities to really move ahead in your spiritual growth?

Why don't they talk about needing to be psychic?

Why don't they talk about needing to be psychic?

YEOSHUA: There are so many spiritual paths you can take to get where you need to go. Some call this enlightenment and some call it nirvana and some call it a spiritual awakening. It doesn’t matter what it is called and there are many ways to get there—as many ways as you can imagine, that’s how many ways there are. Yes, it’s true. There is limited discussion about your intuition or what some people call psychic abilities. All great spiritual teachers are connected to spirit and this can be called being psychic. We all have these abilities and it is just a matter of opening up to them.

Why this has not been called out is because of the prejudice our current culture and society has around the word “psychic.” I was very psychic during my time on earth and so was Mary. We didn’t call it this. It was called being a magi or priestess at that time. Again, these labels also wreaked havoc on us at times because these types of people were not trusted. It comes back to people fearing what they do not understand. That is the simplest explanation. So many spiritual authors have dropped this language from their teachings as a result so as to draw in more people. This has been just as it needed to be but…now it is time for that to change.

The doors need to be opened wide as to the connection to spirit is described and words like “psychic” or “intuition” must now be used. This will help focus and clarify what people really need to do to begin walking with spirit. You were right to be confused by the lack of such terminology in all of these works. Chopra uses the word “meditation” and “synchrodestiny” to describe some of these processes or how to get to a closer connection with spirit. But really some of us need a teacher and a real understanding of what is involved and where we are trying to go.

I do want to emphasize that there are multiple ways to get here. You don’t have to use a particular teacher or be of a particular religion or on a particular spiritual path. You must begin to use your intuition to find your next step or your next teacher. Or these might be one and the same. You must trust and have faith and set intention that you want to take a closer walk with spirit. Then you will begin to attract what is needed to accomplish this into your life. It is as simple as this. But you must be aware or the signs will pass you by. Keep your eyes open and your heart open wide. It helps if you have an open mind as well.

MARY MAGDALENE: Yes, I can see that this would be very misleading. I had not thought of it before. I forget that in physical body, you want everything explained and laid out before you. You want to see where you are going and what the next goal to be accomplished is. I remember that now. So, what Yeoshua suggests is good. Trust your intuition to guide you to a book, a CD, a teaching, or a teacher where you can begin this process of connecting to spirit. And you can call it that if you are uncomfortable with the word, “psychic.”

Oh yes, I must explain how widespread these psychic abilities are. Well, you all (and yes, I mean everyone on the planet) have the capacity to be psychic or intuitive. It simply has not been achieved yet. Connecting with spirit is a process not an instantaneous action. There is growth involved and not everyone is in a place where they are ready to tackle these obstacles that are blocking their growth. Do you understand? This is the way it should be. There is no other way for it to be.

But there are many who have this connection and more and more are connecting every day. It is how our world is transitioning into a higher vibration—one person at a time. How beautiful that is. The indigenous peoples who have held on to their rituals and earthwise ways have known this for generations. This is a good place to start learning if you are looking for a teacher. The native peoples have communicated with their ancestors for eons and we know this as talking to dead people. We just use different language to communicate the idea. Talking to dead people is so weird but speaking with your ancestors if you’re a Native American seems mild, right? Yes, well that is the society dictating what is socially acceptable. It is time for this to change and it will one person at a time. What a beautiful time to be alive and witness this transformation. I bless you on your own journey to self-discovery!

Finding Your Purpose In Life

Question: After reading the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, I asked Yeoshua and Mary Magdalene, what do we need to know about finding our purpose or dharma in life?

How do I find my own path?

How do I find my own path?

YEOSHUA: Finding your dharma or purpose in life can lead us on many journeys. Some of them are helpful and some of them are there simply to show us what our purpose is not. Each person has their own journey and some people find their purpose early on in their life. Many find their true purpose after the age of 30 and that is fine too. The purpose of one’s life, generally, does not change or alter. It may grow larger over time to encompass more or on a larger scale but it does not change in its true essence. If you are a teacher, your class size may grow or you may choose to teach on new subjects as time goes by. If you are healer, you may start with one healing modality and include more techniques over time. Or if you are a teacher, you may learn healing and then teach that to others so that you are both a healer and a teacher. Do you understand?

How to find your purpose? You must follow your heart and your intuition to find your next right step. Everyone’s path to spiritual awakening is unique to them. The only consistent thing is that everyone that finds their purpose had to rely on divine guidance to get there. That is all I have to say on that. Yeoshua

MARY MAGDALENE: Finding your purpose in life is a glorious journey I want to ask everyone to partake in. It is why you are here. You are here to find out why you are here and then to proceed on that path. The journey might have stops and starts and be a long, winding path or have lots of twists and turns. But one thing, for sure, is that you will learn much on this journey and all of it will play a part in your purpose. There is a reason for everything that happens in your life. Of this, you can be sure.

You will know you are on your way or on the right track, when you see coincidences begin to occur. You find a parking spot right where you needed one. Someone calls that you were just thinking about. Your favorite song comes on the radio when you needed that extra boost. These may seem like little things and they are but they also signs that you are flowing in the right direction. You are on the right path. That is spirit’s way of giving you a thumbs up so pay attention to the signs. They are like lampposts along your journey planted by spirit. Enjoy your own unique journey and find happiness along the way. Go in peace and Godspeed. God bless, Mary Magdalene.
